We have a large range of Multi Tyred Rollers with weights from 1,500kg up to 40,000kg available for hire.
The compaction and kneading effect of the tyres produces excellent sealing results. Multi Tyred Rollers are used on many and varied applications including surface finishing on asphalt and soils, proof rolling and thin granular/semi-cohesive soil compaction.
Easy to handle, safe to operate, and excellent compaction output. These are the main features of the AP 240. Hydrodynamic propulsion is proven by decades of operation, and together with a highly reliable Cummins engine ensures trouble free operation and a long life.
Operators comfort and safety is ensured by two complete operator stations, including the steering wheel, seat, and controlling pedals. The versatility of the machine is ensured by a wideballasting range from 9.5 to 24 tons. Easy ballasting and unballasting provides the flexibility to set up an exact wheel load according to jobsite conditions. The Air-on- Run system as standard helps to set up the correct contact pressure onto the wheels.

Unmanned Rollers

Remote control machines are not new to our industry. What’s new and unique about the system we have developed is that the machine can be used in both manned and remote control with the turn of a key. Why is dual use important? In some high risk applications, where the possibility of rollover is assessed as high, the use of a remote control machine may be the best or only option. Remote control operation can also be beneficial when working to an edge, i.e. working next to a concrete pavement, as the operator has clearer visibility of the roller’s drum edge. However, whilst the remote control system is a practical solution for some works, in most normal applications manned operation is acceptable and more efficient. Currently, Conplant has several functional prototypes on in-field trials including 2.5 tonne and 4.5 tonne Ammann tandem rollers and 7 tonne Ammann single drum rollers but the system is capable of being fitted right up to 28 tonne single drum rollers.
